A well-cleaned and disinfected mattress and pillow are essential for a good, restorative and, above all, healthy rest. If associated with anything but dirt, these elements are also prone to it.

The accumulation of dust, dead cells and mites on the surfaces of the mattress and pillow not only generates unsightly stains, but also exposes us to the risk of disease. It is precisely for this reason that it is essential to clean them both with a certain periodicity.

It is normal for the cushions and mattress to lose their white color and turn yellow over time. This happens because of our sweat and other bodily fluids that eventually soak into the sheets and get deposited on them.

Changing the sheets at least once a week is important, but you also need to clean the mattress and pillow periodically and we offer you below 2 very effective tips in this regard.

3 liters of water

Place the hydrogen peroxide and lemon juice solution in the fabric softener basket.
Once the wash is finished, the cushions will be like new again.
To clean and whiten the mattress

one part hydrogen peroxide
Procedure:

We first vacuum the surface of the mattress, then use a clean, damp cloth to remove dirt and dust.
To remove stains, we prepare a solution by mixing water and baking soda. Pour it into a spray bottle and spray it directly on the stains for a few minutes, then scrub it well with a dry sponge.
Pour the white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide into a container and mix well.
Dampen a clean cloth in the white vinegar and hydrogen peroxide solution and rub over the entire surface of the mattress until the yellowish color disappears.
Finally, open the windows well or turn on the air conditioning to facilitate good ventilation which can allow the mattress to dry well.
