1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
2. Season the shrimp and sausage with Cajun seasoning.
3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
5. Reduce heat to medium and add the chopped onions. Sauté for 3 minutes, then add garlic and cook for another minute.
6. Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well. Simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce starts to thicken. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted.
7. Return the sausage and shrimp to the skillet, then add the cooked penne. Toss everything together until well combined.
8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
