Directions
Prepare the Filling:
In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until tender (about 5-7 minutes).
Add the sliced beef to the pan. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked (about 3-5 minutes).
Remove from heat and stir in the provolone cheese until melted and well combined. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Make the Egg Rolls:
Place an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface, with one corner facing you.
Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the cheesesteak mixture into the center of the wrapper.
Wet the edges of the wrapper with a bit of water. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly, ensuring the edges are sealed. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
Fry the Egg Rolls:
In a large pan or skillet, heat about 2 inches of oil over medium-high heat until hot (around 350°F or 175°C).
Fry a few egg rolls at a time, cooking until golden and crispy (about 3-4 minutes per side).
Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
Serve:
Enjoy the egg rolls hot with your favorite sauces, such as marinara or ranch.
Tips
For a healthier option, bake the egg rolls at 400°F (200°C) for 15-20 minutes, brushing them with a little oil for crispiness.
Feel free to customize the filling by adding mushrooms or different cheeses!
