Grease a big baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Place half of the potato slices at the bottom of the dish, slightly overlapping them.

Put half of the cheese sauce on the potatoes, spreading it out evenly.

Place the rest of the potato slices on top and pour the rest of the cheese sauce over them.

Cook the potatoes in the oven.

Put aluminum foil on the baking dish and bake in the oven that has been preheated for 30 minutes.

Take off the cover and bake for another 25 to 30 minutes until the potatoes are soft and the tops are golden brown and bubbly.

Add decoration and serve.

Allow the potato dish to cool for a bit before you serve it.

Add some fresh thyme leaves on top.

Advice:

Different types of cheese can be combined to create more flavor. For example, you can mix Gruyere, Swiss, or Fontina cheese.

To enhance the flavor, you can add caramelized onions or cooked bacon between the potato layers.

To avoid browning: If the top of the dish is getting too brown too fast, you can lightly cover it with aluminum foil for the rest of the cooking time.

Enjoy your delicious potato casserole, a dish that will surely make your loved ones happy!
