CLOTHESPIN COOKIES

Ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking sheet.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts.
Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Immediately after removing from the oven, gently press a clothespin into the center of each cookie. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
